DANBURY, CT — Urgent Care of Connecticut has appointed Danbury resident Charnez Perkins, Sr. to Site Coordinator for the Ridgefield location. As Site Coordinator, Mr. Perkins manages patient care, the daily work flow, and supervises clinical and administrative staff. Before his promotion, Mr. Perkins was a Medical Assistant for the Brookfield location since 2010.
"Charnez really tunes in and listens to patients and the medical staff with the utmost professionalism," said Chief Operating Officer Linda Rohatsch. He is proactive, willing to help and is a wonderful leader in his new role."
Mr. Perkins graduated in the top 5% of his class at Porter and Chester Institute where he earned his certification in Medical Assisting. He is also a certified phlebotomist and a basic life support instructor for the American Heart Association.
In addition, Mr. Perkins coaches youth baseball and basketball and holds a national certification as a high school basketball official. He also volunteers his time to mentor and help troubled teens.
Urgent Care of Connecticut was established in 2008 by business partners Jeannie M. Kenkare, D.O., R. Robert Rohatsch, M.D. and Bernd G. Woerner, M.D. The three board-certified physicians wanted to provide quality, convenient and timely medical care to local communities while easing volume in emergency rooms for non-life and non-limb threatening medical conditions.
