SOUTHBURY — Urgent Care of Southbury is collecting gently used or new coats and jackets for the Salvation Army Family Emergency Shelter through the charity's Waterbury Corps Community Center, located at 74 Central Ave. Coats, jackets, mittens, hats and scarves are being collected now through December 17th.
"There are many people who are facing hardship at this time of year," said Dr. Vieira, who initiated the drive. "We are trying to bring some comfort to these individuals and families."
Donations may be given to a staff member at Urgent Care of Southbury, located at 900 Main Street South. Urgent Care of Southbury is open 365 days a year from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Mon. - Fri. and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sat., Sun., and holidays. For more information call 203-262-1911

The locations in Southbury, Brookfield, Norwalk, and Ridgefield are open 365 days a year from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
