Jeannie Kenkare, DO, FAAFP is Chief Medical Officer for Zucyla Enterprises, LLC and reports directly to the Executive Management Team. Dr. Kenkare works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Practice Administrator, Director of Clinical Operations, Multi-site Directors, and Practice Managers to develop highly-effective quality care management programs. She thoroughly reviews clinical guidelines, decision tools, and outcomes to develop and implement distinctive short and long-term strategies to improve clinical quality, patient care, and financial performance. She also provides leadership and expertise to the organization's staff physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, and clinical staff to implement the strategic programs and clinical guidelines.
Dr. Kenkare brings years of physician executive experience to Zucyla Enterprises having served as Medical Director for numerous practices. She also was Assistant Director for a hospitalist program in a large healthcare organization. An Osteopathic physician board certified in Family Medicine by the American College of Family Practitioners, Dr. Kenkare completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in New Jersey and attended medical school at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM). She subsequently completed her Family Medicine Residency at Warren Hospital, an affiliate of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she served as Chief Resident. She and her family moved to Connecticut soon afterwards. Dr. Kenkare is on staff at the Yale Medical School and currently holds the title of Assistant Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine.
